Once the product assignment and workflows are set up, you test the integration with a few records and then take it live. Going live takes place in two stages. This way, you make sure that no feature accidentally exchanges data before you have checked it.
-
The product assignment is set up, see the article Shopware 6: Assigning products.
-
The workflows are set up, see the article Shopware 6: Setting up workflows.
-
If you have used the classic Shopware connection (shop importer) so far: Its live mode is deactivated. Otherwise, Xentral imports orders twice.
-
Navigate to Settings > Integrations.
-
Click on the gear icon for your Shopware 6 integration and switch to the Workflows tab.
-
In each area that you want to use, activate the Active switch, e.g., Articles, Stock, and Orders.
-
Click on Save.
If mandatory fields are missing in an area, Xentral displays an error message. Fill in the marked mandatory fields, save, and activate the Active switch again.
As long as Channel active is switched off, Xentral does not exchange any data automatically yet. You now test the active features specifically via the journal. Xentral does not transfer features that are not active, not even via the journal.
Test each feature that you want to use with individual records. For this, you use the journal under Automation > Journal.
-
Limit the product assignment to one or a few test products.
-
Open the journal via the path Automation > Journal or via Smart Search.
-
Switch to the tab of the entity that you want to test, e.g., Articles, and filter by your Shopware 6 integration.
-
In the row of a record, click on the icon for running it again.
-
Check the status in the journal and the result in Shopware. If an error occurs, you correct the setting or the record and trigger it again.
-
Repeat the test for stocks, prices, and categories.
-
For the order import, create a test order in Shopware. In the journal, select the Orders tab, click on Import sales orders, and import the order specifically via its order number.
You trigger all filtered entries again in the Articles tab with Synchronize filtered and in the Orders tab with Re-run filtered.
Caution
Take the integration live only when it transfers your test data correctly and as expected.
-
Switch to the Configuration > General settings tab.
-
In the Identity section, select the value Production under Mode. In the Status section, activate the Channel active switch.
-
Click on Save.
Xentral now starts the active workflows and exchanges the data automatically in the background. On the overview under Settings > Integrations, the active features appear green.
-
Extend the product assignment to all products that you want to offer in Shopware.
-
In the first few days, regularly check the journal, filtered by your Shopware 6 integration and the status Error.
-
Xentral does not automatically import orders that were created in Shopware before going live. If needed, import them in the journal by order number.
Tip
Via the system status page, you can have yourself notified by email about warnings and errors during the order import. To do so, set up a subscription for your integration under Manage alarms > Create alarm.
