In the general settings, you subsequently change the entries from the wizard, e.g., new credentials after a key change in Shopware, take the integration live, and define whether Xentral links products via external numbers instead of product numbers.
-
You have created the integration, see the article Adding Shopware 6.
-
You are logged in to Xentral with administrator rights.
-
Navigate to Settings > Integrations.
-
Click on the gear icon for your Shopware 6 integration.
-
In the Configuration tab, switch to the General settings sub-tab. It is located next to the product assignment.
Tip
With Search settings (keyboard shortcut Shift+F) in the configuration, you find a setting faster. Enter a keyword, e.g., "external number", and click on the result. Xentral jumps directly to the setting, even in the other tab.
The General settings sub-tab is divided into the sections Status (switch Channel active), Identity (name and Mode), Connection (read-only), Features, Type-specific settings, and Credentials. You can find the credentials (URL, access ID, security key) in the Credentials section. You save this section separately.

Description |
|---|---|
|
Integration name |
Name by which you recognize the integration. The name must be unique. |
|
Mode |
Selection of Production or Development in the Identity section. In Development mode, the integration is not used productively: Xentral does not process any events, but targeted tests are possible. Productive integrations exchange real data with the sales channel. Select Production and activate the Channel active switch in the Status section only when you have tested everything, see the article Shopware 6: Going live. |
|
URL |
Address of your Shopware instance, without |
|
Access ID |
Access ID of the integration that you created in Shopware under Settings > System > Integrations. |
|
Security key |
Security key of this Shopware integration. Shopware displays it only when you create it. If you no longer have it, create a new key in Shopware and enter it here. |
Here, you activate or deactivate the features that you selected when creating the integration: Articles, Categories, Stocks, Orders, Prices, Order status and tracking, and Receipts. You set details per feature in the Workflows tab, see the article Shopware 6: Setting up workflows.
Note
If the Receipts area is missing in the Workflows tab, activate the feature Synchronize receipts (Xentral > sales channel) here and save.
By default, Xentral links products via the product number that is managed in Shopware as the product number (SKU). If you use different product numbers in Shopware than in Xentral, you link the products via external numbers instead.
Field name |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Use external numbers |
A switch that controls whether Xentral uses external numbers instead of product numbers for this integration. |
|
External numbers designation |
Designation of the external numbers that Xentral is to use. The designation must match the designation in the external numbers of your products exactly, including uppercase and lowercase. It does not have to be the same as the name of the shop. |
This is how you set up the link via external numbers:
-
Store the Shopware product number as an external number for each product. You have two options for this:
-
For many products: Open the Article external numbers app via Smart Search.
-
For one product: Open the product and switch to the External numbers tab.
-
-
Assign the same designation to all external numbers of this shop, e.g., "Shopware DE".
-
Navigate to Settings > Integrations and click on the gear icon for your Shopware 6 integration.
-
In the Configuration > General settings tab, activate the Use external numbers switch.
-
In the External numbers designation field, enter the designation from step 2.
-
Click on Save.
Note
As the external number, you enter the product number from Shopware. Other values such as the product ID have no effect.
Caution
If you delete a product in Xentral, Xentral also removes its external numbers. With active external number linking, Xentral therefore does not automatically delete the product in Shopware. In this case, delete it in Shopware yourself. We generally recommend setting products to inactive instead of deleting them.
Caution
Deleting removes the integration with all settings irreversibly. Before you delete it, back up all data that you still need and check that you have selected the correct integration.
If you no longer need the integration, e.g., because you created it only for testing, open the three-dot menu in its row under Settings > Integrations, click on Delete, and confirm the security prompt.
