With the wizard for new integrations, you connect your Shopware 6 shop with Xentral. You install the integration from the catalog, generate the credentials in Shopware, and select the features you want to use. Afterward, you set up the product assignment and workflows before the integration exchanges data in live mode.
-
You are logged in to Xentral with administrator rights.
-
You are logged in to Shopware 6 as an administrator.
-
Your shop is prepared, see the article Shopware 6: Setting up the shop.
Tip
You need both systems for the next steps. Open Shopware in one browser window and Xentral in another.
You install the integration once. For every additional Shopware 6 shop, you only create a new integration via the wizard.
-
Navigate to Settings > Integrations.
-
Click on New integration. Xentral opens the Integrations page – Connect sales channel with Xentral. In the Installed area, you see the integrations that are already installed; in the Available area, you see all other integrations.
-
If needed, filter by the category Online shop and click on Shopware 6.
-
Depending on whether Shopware 6 is already installed, you have two options:
-
Already installed: The wizard for creating the integration opens directly. Continue with the section "Going through the wizard".
-
Not yet installed: Xentral opens the detail page with "Book this integration" and the sections About this integration, Included features, Booking, and Provider. Click on Install.
-
Xentral opens the wizard Create new Shopware6 integration. It guides you through the setup in three steps: Credentials, Details, and Review. With Cancel, you leave the wizard without saving anything.
Generating access data in Shopware
Xentral accesses your shop via a Shopware integration with administrator rights. You generate the credentials in Shopware now.
Caution
Shopware displays the security key only once when you create the integration. Therefore, carry out the following steps without interruption or save the access ID and security key in a password safe.
-
In the Shopware window, navigate to Settings > System > Integrations.
-
Click on Add integration.
-
Enter a name by which you recognize the integration, e.g., "Xentral", and activate the option Administrator.
-
Copy the Access ID and the Security key and save the integration in Shopware.
Entering access data in Xentral
In the Credentials step (enter credentials), the wizard asks: "How should Xentral log in to Shopware6?" Enter your Shopware credentials there. You can change it later in the settings of the integration.
-
Switch back to the Xentral window.
-
In the URL field, enter the address of your Shopware instance. Use the part of the address that comes before
/admin. For example, if the address of your Shopware administration ishttps://deinshop.de/public/admin#/login, enterhttps://deinshop.de/public. -
In the Access ID field, paste the copied access ID.
-
In the Security key field, paste the copied security key.
-
Click on Test connection. Once the connection is established, click on Next.
+
-
In the Integration name field, enter a name by which you will recognize the integration later, e.g., the name of your shop. The name must be unique.
-
Leave the Activate production mode switch deactivated. You take the integration live only after you have set up and tested everything.
-
Activate the switches for the features you want to use and click on Next.
Here, you select the data that Xentral basically exchanges with Shopware. We recommend activating all features you want to use. In the workflows, you define the exact data per feature later and activate each feature individually.
