Before you add Tradebyte in Xentral, you prepare TB.One for the connection. You create an API user and an SFTP access and note the keys for package types and payment methods. You need this information later in the wizard and in the workflows.
If you are not yet familiar with TB.One, first get to know the platform. You find an introduction in the Tradebyte documentation. Here, we only describe the steps required for the connection to Xentral.
-
You have access to TB.One with admin permissions.
-
The channels that you want to handle through Xentral are set up in TB.One.
-
In TB.One, click on the TB.One icon at the bottom left. A window opens.
-
Note the merchant ID. It is located in the title bar of the window at the top right, in parentheses.
Xentral accesses TB.One via a dedicated API user. The API user determines which channels Xentral may access.
-
In TB.One, navigate to Admin > Users > Employees.
-
Enter the User data for the API user.
-
Under Roles and permissions, select API user (API access only).
-
In the Sales channels for API access section, activate all channels that you want to handle through Xentral.
-
Save the user and note the username and password.
Important
Xentral only retrieves orders from the channels that you have activated here. If a channel is missing, the retrieval fails with the error message "Failed Tradebyte call (Code 401): Channel not allowed for the user."
-
In TB.One, navigate to Admin > System settings > SFTP credentials.
-
Create an SFTP access. To do so, follow the instructions in TB.One.
-
Note the Server, Port, User, and Password.
-
In TB.One, navigate to Admin > Export > Orders.
-
In the section for the export output, select one file per channel.
-
Click on Save.
Xentral assigns shipping and payment via keys from TB.One. Note them for the workflows:
-
Package types: Navigate to Master data > Shipping > Package types. Note the import key of each package type that you want to link with Xentral.
-
Payment methods: Navigate to Master data > Payment > Payment methods. Note the export key of each payment method that you want to link with Xentral.
Navigate to Admin > System settings > Order processing and check how TB.One calculates VAT on ancillary services such as shipping or payment costs. Later in Xentral, you select the same setting in the workflows in the Orders sub-tab under VAT calculation for ancillary services.
For TB.One to accept the product texts from Xentral, you create the languages in TB.One.
-
Navigate to Products > Translation > Languages.
-
Create the language with an import key according to ISO 639. The key must be at least two characters long.
-
In the settings of the respective channel, define which language TB.One preferably exports and which language serves as a fallback if a translation is missing.
