In the general settings, you specify what applies to the entire eBay integration: the status, the name, the mode, the active features, the connection to eBay, as well as the warehouse address and tax rates. You carry out the details of the individual features in the Workflows tab instead. See the article eBay: Setting up workflows.
-
Navigate to Settings > Integrations and click on the gear icon for your eBay integration.
-
Stay in the Configuration tab and switch to the General settings sub-tab. There you find the sections Status, Identity, Connection, Features, Type-specific settings, and Authorization.
-
Make the desired changes and click on Save.
Tip
With the Search settings button (keyboard shortcut Shift+F), you can find a setting without knowing the section. Enter a keyword, e.g., "tax", and click on the result. Xentral jumps directly to the setting, even in the other tab.
Field name |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Channel active (Status section) |
A switch that controls whether Xentral synchronizes and exports the data of this integration. See the article eBay: Going live. |
|
Name (Identity section) |
Name under which the integration appears in the overview, in lists, filters, and logs. The name must be unique. You can change it afterward. |
|
Mode (Identity section) |
Development or Production. In Development mode, the integration is not used productively: Xentral does not process any events, but targeted tests are possible. In Production, Xentral exchanges real data with eBay. See the article eBay: Going live. |
|
Channel type, Internal name (Connection section) |
Read-only. You cannot change the type of the sales channel. |
|
Features (Features section) |
One switch per feature: Stocks, Orders, and Order status & tracking. You then set up a feature that you add here in the Workflows tab. |
The connection to eBay runs through an authorization, not through a username and password. If you make changes on eBay for which Xentral needs a new authorization, or if the authorization has expired or been revoked, renew it in the Authorization section: Click on Renew authorization and log in to eBay.
Field name |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Postal code (ZIP) of the Xentral warehouse |
Enter the postal code of the warehouse from which you ship eBay orders. |
|
Country of the Xentral warehouse |
Enter the country of the warehouse as a two-letter country code according to ISO 3166-1 alpha-2, e.g., DE for Germany or AT for Austria. |
Field name |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Tax rate (standard) |
Required field. Percentage value without the percent sign for products with the standard tax rate, in Germany 19. Xentral uses it to convert prices from eBay into gross prices. |
|
Tax rate (reduced) |
Required field. Percentage value without the percent sign for products with the reduced tax rate, in Germany 7. |
|
Transfer net prices |
Standard field without effect for eBay, because the integration does not transfer prices. |
If you no longer need the integration, e.g., because you created it only for testing, open the overview under Settings > Integrations. In the integration’s row, click on the three-dot menu > Delete and confirm the security prompt.
Caution
Deleting cannot be undone. Xentral removes the integration with all its settings. Check beforehand that you have selected the correct integration.
