In the general settings, you specify how Xentral links products to OTTO and which tax rates Xentral uses to convert prices. You also set the integration live here or adjust the selected features.
You have added OTTO (see the article Adding OTTO).
-
Navigate to Settings > Integrations.
-
Click on the gear icon for your OTTO integration.
-
Carry out the settings in the Configuration tab, General settings sub-tab. There you find the sections Status, Identity, Connection, Features, and Type-specific settings.
-
Click on Save.
Tip
Use the Search settings button (keyboard shortcut Shift+F). Enter a keyword, e.g., "tax", and click on a result. Xentral jumps directly to the matching setting, even in the other tab.
Field name |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Channel active (Status section) |
A switch that controls whether Xentral synchronizes and exports the data of this integration. Activate it only after you have tested all settings (see the article OTTO: Going live). |
|
Name (Identity section) |
Name under which the integration appears in Xentral, e.g., in lists, filters, and logs. The name must be unique. You can change it afterward. |
|
Mode (Identity section) |
Development or Production. In Development mode, the integration is not used productively: Xentral does not process any events, but targeted tests are possible. Production integrations send real data to the sales channel (see the article OTTO: Going live). |
|
Channel type, Internal name (Connection section) |
Read-only. You can no longer change the channel type. |
|
Features (Features section) |
One switch per feature: Stocks, Orders, Prices, Order status & tracking, and Receipts. If you activate a feature here afterward, it appears as a separate sub-tab in the Workflows tab. |
If the connection to OTTO has expired or been revoked, you renew it in the Authorization section with Renew authorization.
By default, Xentral links products to the SKU on OTTO via the product number. If you use different SKUs on OTTO than in Xentral, you link the products via external numbers.
Field name |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Use external numbers |
Switch that controls whether Xentral uses external numbers instead of product numbers for this integration. |
|
External numbers designation |
Designation of the external number category you want to use. The field appears as soon as you activate Use external numbers. The designation must exactly match the designation in the external numbers table of the products (pay attention to uppercase and lowercase). It does not have to be named like the integration. |
You maintain external numbers in two ways:
-
Product external numbers app: Here you create and manage external numbers centrally for all products.
-
Product: In the External numbers tab of a product, you maintain the external numbers of this product.
Note
Always enter the SKU that the product has on OTTO as the external number. Other identifiers, such as a product ID, have no effect.
Note
Example: You sell the products "Wasser Kirsche" (PN-100012) and "Wasser Himbeere" (PN-100014) on OTTO under different SKUs. In each product, enter the SKU from OTTO as the external number, select the integration, and assign the designation, e.g., "OTTO". You then enter this designation in the External numbers designation field.
Caution
If you delete a product in Xentral, Xentral also removes its external numbers. We recommend not deleting products but blocking them or setting them to inactive.
Field name |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Tax rate (standard) |
Required field. Tax rate in percent for products with the standard tax rate, without the percent sign. Preset to 19. Xentral uses it to convert prices from the sales channel into gross prices. |
|
Tax rate (reduced) |
Required field. Tax rate in percent for products with the reduced tax rate, without the percent sign. Preset to 7. |
|
Transfer net prices |
Switch that controls whether Xentral transfers net prices instead of gross prices to OTTO. |
Caution
Deleting irrevocably removes the integration with all its settings. It cannot be restored.
If you no longer need the integration, e.g., because you created it only for testing, you can delete it. Check beforehand that you have selected the correct integration. In the overview under Settings > Integrations, click on the three-dot menu > Delete in the integration’s row. Xentral asks you once more whether you are sure before deleting.
