With the product assignment, you specify which products Xentral synchronizes with OTTO. The selection applies to all workflows, i.e., to stocks and prices. Because the integration does not create products on OTTO, you select exactly the products here that you already offer on OTTO.
-
You have added OTTO (see the article Adding OTTO).
-
The products are created in Xentral and listed on OTTO, with the same product number or a stored external number.
-
Navigate to Settings > Integrations.
-
Click on the gear icon for your OTTO integration.
-
In the Configuration tab, switch to the Article assignment sub-tab.
-
In the Configure filter card, define one or more conditions. A condition consists of WHEN, field, operator, and value, e.g., Article no. "= is equal to" 100001. You add further conditions with Add single condition. Xentral combines multiple conditions with AND.
-
Click on Save and apply and confirm the displayed number of matches. Xentral applies the filter and creates a new product list from it.
Under Previously applied filters, you can see earlier applications with the number of products and the date.

Tip
To select multiple product numbers, select the IN operator and enter the numbers separated by commas, e.g., Article no. IN 100001,100005,100010.
For the first tests, we recommend limiting the selection to one or a few products, e.g., with the filter Article no. == and a product number from your product master data. Only when stock and price for these products arrive correctly on OTTO do you extend the filter to all products you offer on OTTO.
Note
If you do not define a filter, Xentral synchronizes all products, including blocked ones. Therefore, always set a product filter.
Important
Observe the following rules for the product filter:
-
Only assign listed products: Only assign products that are also listed on OTTO. Additional products lead to many errors in your instance.
-
Removing does not mean deleting: If you remove a product from the filter, Xentral does not delete it on OTTO. The product remains listed on OTTO but no longer receives current data from Xentral.
-
New products are added overnight: Xentral automatically adds new products that match the filter to the assignment overnight. There is no immediate synchronization of individual products here.
-
Synchronization only on changes: A product in the filter is not synchronized regularly on its own. The synchronization starts when the product changes in Xentral, e.g., its stock or price.
To no longer offer a product on OTTO, it is not enough to remove it from the filter. Deactivate or remove the offer directly on OTTO.
-
Check the general settings of the integration (see the article OTTO: General settings).
-
Then carry out the details for the features (see the article OTTO: Setting up workflows).
