The Contacts module in Xentral contains the address data of all customers, suppliers and employees of your company. These addresses were either manually created by you in Xentral or were imported automatically during the sales order import from different shop interfaces.
The Overview tab in the Contacts module contains a list of all existing addresses in the system. Here, you can delete, edit or assign customized labels to allow for better overview. In addition, the tabs Address filter and Advanced address search provides you with various possibilities for filtering and searching.
This article shows you which actions you can carry out in the Contacts module to manage your addresses and how to use them.
Bot the Overview tab as well as the Advanced address search tab allow you to carry out a precise search for specific address data. In the following, different methods are described.
Note
Both search methods mentioned above are a so-called live search. This means that relevant search results are displayed in the table within a few seconds, even if you only enter a part of the search term. Thus, it is not necessary to confirm your search separately or to trigger the search with an additional click. Also, the search results are updated automatically when you empty the search field or if you change your search term.

Method 1: Enter the desired search term in the Search field at the upper left of the table. Alternatively, you can search for a part of a term.

Method 2: Enter the desired search term into the search field below the column heading.

Do you already know the advanced address search in Xentral? You can access it in the Advanced address search tab of the Contacts module. More precise information on the advanced address search is available in this article.
In the Overview tab, you can display a short overview of the address data.
To do so, click on the arrow symbol to the left of the address for which you want to view the short overview.
The short overview contains the following information:

Address/contact

Terms of payment
-
Bank details
-
Delivery addresses
-
Contact person
-
Roles/groups
-
CRM
You can close the short overview by clicking on the arrow symbol once again.
In addition to the search, the tab Overview of the Addresses module offers you a filter function. You can find it in the upper left, next to the Search field.
Proceed as described below to apply filters for address data.

Click on the filter symbol in the Overview tab.

Use the available fields to define your search criteria. You can define one or several search criteria.

Finish by clicking on Apply filter.
The table now displays the address data records that fit your selected filter criteria. The filters always remain active until you remove them by clicking on Reset all.

Did you know that you can save your own address filters in Xentral to access frequently used filters more quickly? This function can be found in the Address filter tab of the Contacts module. More information on address filters is available in this article.
In the Menu column at the right side of the Overview tab, you can view or delete the addresses of your customers, suppliers and employees. You can also assign labels to individual addresses.

Click on the pencil symbol to edit an address.

Click on the X symbol to delete an address.
