With the wizard, you connect Xentral to your eBay account and select the features you want to use. You do not enter any API keys: You log in to eBay and allow Xentral to access your account (authorization). Xentral stores the authorization and uses it for all transfers.
-
You have administrator rights in Xentral.
-
You know the login credentials of your eBay seller account.
-
You have created a project, postage items, discount items, payment methods, and shipping methods in Xentral. See the article Preparing Xentral for the integration.
-
Navigate to Settings > Integrations and click on New integration.
-
On the Integrations page ("Connect a sales channel to Xentral"), enter "eBay" in the Search filter. If needed, you can narrow down the display further with the Price, Provider, and Category filters.
-
Depending on whether eBay is already installed in your system, you have two options:
-
eBay is installed (Installed area): Click on eBay. Xentral opens the wizard.
-
eBay is not installed yet (Available area): Click on eBay. Xentral displays the detail page with "Book this integration" and the sections About this integration, Included features, Booking, and Provider. Click on Install.
-
Xentral opens the Create new Ebay integration wizard. It guides you through the setup in three steps: Authorization, Details, and Review. In the first step ("Connect the account"), you connect Xentral to your eBay account. You log in directly on eBay. With Cancel, you exit the wizard without saving anything.
Caution
Before authorizing, log in to the correct eBay account. Each integration needs its own eBay account. If you use an account that is already connected to another integration, the data of both integrations is mixed.
-
Click on Connect with Ebay. Xentral redirects you to the eBay consent page.
-
On the eBay consent page, log in with your seller account and confirm access for Xentral. Afterward, you return to the wizard to finish the integration.
-
Xentral displays the message Authentication successful. Click on Next.
