In the general settings, you adjust settings that apply to the entire WooCommerce integration: credentials and the link via external numbers. You find them in the Configuration > General settings tab of your integration, divided into the sections Status, Identity, Connection (read-only), Features, Type-specific settings, and Credentials. In contrast, you set up details of individual features in the Workflows tab.
-
Navigate to Settings > Integrations.
-
Click on the gear icon for your WooCommerce integration. The Configuration tab opens. Switch to the General settings sub-tab.
-
Carry out the settings and click on Save.
With Search settings (keyboard shortcut Shift+F) at the top of the configuration, you find a setting faster: Enter a keyword, for example "external numbers", and click on the result. Xentral jumps directly to the setting, also in the other tab.

Description |
|---|---|
|
Integration name |
If needed, change the name under which you find the integration. The name must be unique. |
|
URL |
URL of your WooCommerce shop. Adjust it if the address of your shop changes. |
|
Consumer Key |
Consumer Key of the REST API key. If you generated a new key in WooCommerce, enter it here. |
|
Consumer Secret |
Consumer Secret of the REST API key. Enter it together with the new Consumer Key. |
You find the name and the Mode (Production or Development) under Configuration > General settings in the Identity section, the features in the Features section, and the Channel active switch in the Status section. In Development mode, the integration is not used productively: Xentral does not process any events, but targeted tests are possible. The credentials (URL, Consumer Key, Consumer Secret) are in the Credentials section. You save this section separately.
By default, Xentral links products via the product number that is maintained in WooCommerce as the product number (SKU). If you use SKUs in WooCommerce that differ from the product numbers in Xentral, you link the products via external numbers.

|
Use external numbers |
Activate the switch to link products via external numbers instead of product numbers. |
|
External numbers designation |
Enter the designation of the external numbers that apply to this shop. The designation must match the designation in the external numbers of the products exactly, including uppercase and lowercase. It does not have to match the name of the shop. |
This is how you maintain the external numbers:
-
Open the Article external numbers app via Smart Search to maintain external numbers for many products. Alternatively, open a product and switch to the External numbers tab.
-
Enter the SKU from WooCommerce as the external number. Other fields such as the product ID have no effect.
-
Link the shop and assign the designation that you entered in the External numbers designation setting.
Caution
If you delete a product in Xentral, Xentral also removes its external numbers. With an active external number link, Xentral therefore does not automatically delete the product in WooCommerce. Delete it there manually. We recommend not deleting products but setting them to inactive.
For more on external numbers, see the article External Numbers in Xentral: Mapping Item Numbers from Shops and Marketplaces.
If you no longer need an integration, for example because you only created it for testing, you can delete it. Xentral irrevocably removes all settings of the integration. Check beforehand that you selected the correct integration. You then delete the REST API key in WooCommerce under Settings > Advanced > REST API.
Navigate to Settings > Integrations, open the three-dot menu in the row of your WooCommerce integration, and click on Delete.
