Reservations can be made for individual large orders or for the entire product. So you can control whether you want to include all open incoming orders in the stock goods or only reserve large B2B deliveries, e.g. pallet deliveries or long-term large orders.
You can prioritize reservations directly in the order. To do this, click on the action menu at the top right and select reserve all items. The items from this one order are reserved.
Reservations are displayed in the stock tab for each item. Here, you can delete reservations and, if necessary, reset them via the order. You can view the reservations per item directly in the item itself under Master data > article > edit article > tab: stock.
In this view you will find reservations of open orders and also of orders that are currently being actively processed in logistics, the reservation of which will still be booked out in the process step due to the actual warehouse write-off (e.g. if an order has been continued as a delivery note, but the goods have not yet been delivered was booked out by the customer and picked).
Note
Attention: If you delete reservations and automatic logistics processes process orders, interim sales may occur; the goods will be released again for a moment when the reservation is deleted.
Tip: You can also serve important major customers via a separate warehouse or a replenishment warehouse to ensure that the goods are really traded separately and cannot be accounted for by your other channels under any circumstances.
You can view all reservations via Warehouse and Logistics > Reservations. Here you can delete reservations by clicking on the x symbol.
You can also set reservations automatically system-wide. The auto shipping process (= calculate auto shipping) immediately reassigns the reservations in ascending order, with orders ordered first being reserved first.
The reservations also include orders that have not yet reached logistics or orders that have not yet been completely completed. The reserved items remain there until the goods have actually been booked out of the warehouse manually or via auto-shipment in a process.
Note
Calculation and feedback of the inventory: The reservations are included in the number of possible “saleable items” and deducted from the inventory quantity for the shop. This means that if you have 10 items in stock and 2 of them are already reserved in an order, 8 items will be reported back to your shop. Your actual inventory quantity is reduced by the reserved items because these goods are already blocked for orders.
You can set automatic reservation for each sales channel. To do this, go to the settings of Project > Settings > Logistics/Shipping. Activate the auto-reservation in the warehouse. For orders in this project, all items are reserved directly in the warehouse after the order has been released.
