Before you add Amazon in Xentral, you clarify a few points in Seller Central. This way, the authorization runs without interruption, and you can set up the workflows to match your Amazon account. You do not have to create anything in Seller Central itself for the integration: The connection is established via an app that you authorize in Xentral when adding.
-
Access to Amazon Seller Central with administrator permissions. Without administrator permissions, you cannot authorize the Xentral app.
-
Your offers (listings) are created in Seller Central. The integration does not create offers.
-
Log in to Seller Central with an administrator account.
-
Note the marketplaces on which you sell, for example Germany, France, and Italy. You select these marketplaces later in the Orders workflow for the order import.
-
Clarify whether you use FBM, FBA, or both. How many projects you need in Xentral depends on this.
Amazon offers three ways to create invoices. The configured way determines where Xentral transfers invoices and credit notes and which documents auto-shipment creates. You find the setting in Seller Central in the tax settings (sellercentral.amazon.de/tax/settings/summary).
-
IDU (Invoice Document Upload): You create invoices in Xentral and Xentral uploads them to Amazon.
-
VCS (VAT Calculation Service): Amazon creates the invoices. Xentral adopts them and, as a rule, creates at most a delivery note.
-
VCS Lite: Amazon or an external service creates the documents. Xentral transfers neither invoices nor credit notes.
Note the setting. You enter it later in the Orders workflow in the Amazon billing service field. The selection in Xentral does not change anything in your settings at Amazon.
Xentral recognizes your products in Amazon orders and during stock synchronization via the Amazon SKU, not via the ASIN. If needed, export your offers from Seller Central to have the SKUs per product at hand. How you store them in Xentral as external numbers, you learn in the article Amazon: Assigning products.
