With the product assignment, you define the products for which Xentral transfers stock levels and prices to Amazon. The selection applies to all workflows. A filter is useful above all for the first tests and whenever your product master data contains more products than you offer on Amazon.
For Amazon, a second building block is added: So that Xentral recognizes a product in orders and during stock synchronization, it needs an external number with the Amazon SKU.
Xentral assigns Amazon SKUs to your products via external numbers. The requirements for the format are strict. For every product that you sell on Amazon, maintain an external number with this information:
Field name |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Active |
Yes. |
|
Designation |
SKU_FBM for self-shipped offers, SKU_FBA for offers fulfilled by Amazon. If you sell a product both ways, you create both external numbers. |
|
External number |
The SKU of the offer from Seller Central, not the ASIN. Each SKU may only be assigned once. |

Your Amazon integration. |
During the order import, Xentral searches for the product in this order:
-
External number SKU_FBM or SKU_FBA with reference to the Amazon integration
-
External number SKU with reference to the Amazon integration
-
Any external number, regardless of designation and shop
-
Xentral product number that matches the Amazon SKU
If Xentral does not find a matching product, it does not import the order. The error "No product with number XXX found" appears in the journal.
Tip
You get a quick overview of your external numbers in the Article external numbers module. You correct larger quantities fastest by exporting the filtered view as a CSV file, editing the file, and importing it again.
-
Navigate to Settings > Integrations.
-
Click on the gear icon for your Amazon integration.
-
Switch to the Configuration tab and there to the Article assignment sub-tab.
-
In the Configure filter card, define the condition: After WHEN, select the field, the operator, and the value, for example a product number, a product category, or a custom field that you maintain for Amazon products. You add further conditions with Add single condition.
-
Optional: For the first tests, limit the selection to a single product, for example with Article no. is equal to a product number from your product master data.
-
Click on Save and apply and confirm the displayed number of matches. Xentral applies the filter and creates a new product list from it. Under Previously applied filters, you see earlier applications with the number of products and the date.
Xentral adopts the products that meet your condition into the product assignment.
Important
-
Only assign products that are also offered on Amazon. Products without an offer lead to errors in your instance.
-
If you remove a product from the filter, Xentral does not delete it at Amazon. Xentral simply no longer updates it. You end an offer in Seller Central.
-
Xentral automatically adds new products that meet your condition to the filter overnight. You can do it immediately via the Synchronize products button in the product under Details > Online shop options.
-
A product in the filter is not synchronized automatically. The synchronization runs as soon as something changes for the product in Xentral, for example the stock level or the price.
