Before Xentral exchanges orders, stock levels, and documents with Amazon automatically, you test the settings with a few products and individual orders. To do so, you first activate the individual features. Only when the test data arrives as you expect do you set the entire integration live.
-
Product assignment, general settings, and workflows are completely set up.
-
All required fields (marked with *) are filled in.
-
Navigate to Settings > Integrations.
-
Click on the gear icon for your Amazon integration and switch to the Workflows tab.
-
In each feature that you want to use, activate the Active switch.
-
Click on Save.
If required fields are missing, Xentral displays an error message. Complete the marked fields, click on Save, and activate the switch again.
As long as Channel active is switched off, Xentral does not exchange any data automatically yet. You now test the active features specifically via the journal. Xentral does not transfer features that are not active, not even via the journal.
-
Limit the product assignment to a few products, for example a single product with a maintained external number SKU_FBM or SKU_FBA. How this works is described in the article Amazon: Assigning products.
-
In the main menu, navigate to Automation > Journal and filter by your Amazon integration (Channel column).
-
Select the Orders tab, click on Import sales orders, and import one or more Amazon orders specifically via the order number. You separate multiple numbers with commas.
-
Check the imported sales order in Xentral: project, payment method with green payment traffic light, shipping method, tax, billing address, customer, and positions.
-
In the journal, check the stock and price of the test product in the Articles tab and the invoices in the Receipts tab. If needed, restart individual records: via the icon for running again in the row or, for all filtered entries, in the Articles tab with Synchronize filtered and in the Orders tab with Re-run filtered.
-
For red entries, correct the setting named in the error message and restart the record in the journal via the icon for running again in the row.
Caution
Set the integration live only when your test data is transferred correctly and as expected.
-
Switch to the Configuration tab and there to the General settings sub-tab.
-
In the Identity section, set the Mode to Production.
-
In the Status section, activate the Channel active switch.
-
Click on Save.
Xentral now starts the automatic data exchange in the background. In the overview under Settings > Integrations, the active features are marked green.
Keep an eye on the journal under Automation > Journal in the first few days. Filter by your Amazon integration and by status to find faulty entries quickly. With the quick filters Today, Yesterday, and Last 14 days, you narrow down the time period. Gray means that a record is still being processed, green stands for a successful transfer, red for an error. The meaning of the most common messages is explained in the article Amazon: FAQs & best practices.
If you then extend the product assignment to all Amazon products, note the rules in the article Product filter: rules for all integrations.
