Integrations connect Xentral with your sales channels and other systems, for example Shopify, Amazon, or your accounting software. This way, Xentral transfers products, stock levels, prices, and orders automatically, and you maintain your data in only one place. This article shows you where to find your integrations, how the interface is structured, and what the most important terms mean.
You reach all integrations via the path Settings > Integrations. The overview displays all set-up integrations at a glance, regardless of the sales channel.
Note
New location for integrations
Previously, the integrations were located individually under Settings > Sell > Shops/Marketplaces. Now you find all of them in one place under Settings > Integrations.
In the overview, you see the following for each integration:
-
Integration name: The name you assigned when creating it.
-
Features: The individual entities that the integration synchronizes, for example orders, products, or stock levels. Active features are highlighted in green, inactive ones in gray.
-
Gear icon: Click on the gear icon to open the configuration of the integration. Use the three-dot menu of the row to deactivate an integration.
Use the filters to narrow down the overview, for example to a specific integration.
Click on the gear icon in the overview to open the configuration of an integration. The settings are divided into two tabs:
Tab |
Content |
|---|---|
|
Configuration |
The sub-tabs Article assignment with the Product filter and General settings of the integration, for example credentials and external numbers. The available general settings depend on the integration. |
|
Workflows |
One sub-tab per feature with its settings, for example for products, stock levels, prices, orders, and order status & tracking. |
Note
If you know the previous interface: The three buttons Article assignment, Workflows, and Journal are replaced by the gear icon in the overview. It opens the configuration with the tabs Configuration and Workflows. The general settings that were previously behind the gear icon are now in the tab Configuration > General settings. The areas in the tab Workflows have the same names, appear in the same order, and work as before. You now find the journal in the main menu under Automation > Journal.
Especially with extensive integrations, the quick search helps you find a specific setting without scrolling through all areas.
-
Navigate to Settings > Integrations and click on the gear icon for the desired integration.
-
Click on Search settings or use the keyboard shortcut Shift+F.
-
Enter a keyword, for example “tax”. Xentral displays all matching settings.
-
Click on a result.
Xentral jumps directly to the setting, even if it is in the other tab.
Term |
Meaning |
|---|---|
|
Integration |
The connection between Xentral and an external system, for example your Shopify shop. You install an integration once in the catalog. Afterward, you create one or more connections via the wizard, for example for two Shopify shops. Each connection appears with its name in the overview. |
|
Sales channel |
The shop or marketplace where you sell your products. In the settings, the connected system is always called sales channel, for example in Synchronize stocks (Xentral > sales channel). |
|
Feature |
The synchronization of a single entity, for example orders, products, or stock levels, in a fixed direction, for example Synchronize orders (sales channel > Xentral). You select the features when creating the integration in the wizard and set them up in the tab Workflows. |
|
Workflow |
The settings of a feature in the tab Workflows. Here you carry out the settings that the respective feature needs and assign, for example, payment methods, shipping methods, or warehouses. |
|
Product filter |
Rules in the product assignment with which you define which products Xentral synchronizes with the connected sales channel. The selection applies to all workflows of the integration. The product filter exists only for sales channels. Other integrations, for example shipping providers, do not have one. |
|
Customization |
A customer-specific extension of a standard integration, for example your own rule during the order import. Customizations are created with Xentral Flows and do not change the standard itself. |
Currently, only a user with administrator rights in Xentral can install, set up, and test an integration.
For many marketplaces, access expires regularly, for example annually, and must be renewed. For these integrations, the general settings usually include the function Renew authorization in the section Authorization. With it, you quickly and easily renew expiring access.
Where known, the integration actively notifies you when something needs to be done. You can also see open to-dos above the list under Settings > Integrations.
