The technical security equipment (TSE) for the cash register in the Xentral ERP system (so-called point-of-sale "POS") can be set up by the user himself in just a few steps. The legal requirement stipulates that each POS system is recorded/registered individually in the process. The module is only relevant for customers in Germany (KassenSichV).

Please contact your xentral contact and inform them about the exact number of your POS, so that the colleagues can store the appropriate settings in the system and the setup of your xentral system can be done smoothly. Since the POS backup will only be included in version 20.3, please address this if you are not sure whether your current license allows the use of this version (e.g. purchase license only up to version 20.2).

Visit your xentral Appstore or SuperSearch and search for the module "Fiskaly Connection".
Create new organization via button on the right .
Now enter basic information about the organization. The address details of the company headquarters or the cash register location must be maintained here.
Click the Create/Save button. The organization will now appear in the list of organizations.
You can create additional organizations if, for example, you have different operating sites, i.e. different locations where one or more cash registers are operated. This gives you an overview of the operating sites in the list.
Now switch to the TSE tab. Create a new TSE here via the button Set up new TSE.
Now enter the Xentral project/ POS for which you want to create the TSE, as well as the organization/location of the POS (the organizations created in the previous step). Leave the lower two fields empty, they will be filled automatically in the next step. Click on New TSE and confirm the creation in the following window.
This automatically stores the TSE and client.
Go to the POS settings under Master data -> Project -> Settings -> POS settings.
The address must be stored in the receipt printer area.

As of the deadline of March 31, 2021 for the implementation of the cash register security (TSE), there was still no final status. Ambiguities, which the legislator itself has not yet been able to resolve, are currently still preventing the provision of the final solution for all crypto service providers (CSPs), on which providers such as xentral ERP can or must continue to rely.
After consultation with the CSP of our choice, who is in constant exchange with the state ministries or the Federal Ministry of Finance, the tax offices, and the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), these relevant authorities are still in the process of clarifying some open points. In any case, we strongly recommend that you fill out the individual application according to §148 of the German Fiscal Code (Ao), if necessary together with your tax advisor, and send it to the relevant tax office (with a statement from fiskaly, a statement from xentral, a letter to the federal states, and a certification from fiskaly) in order to prevent possible penalties.
