Please note that the following changes have been made to the import and export of CSV files since version 23.26.10:
To ensure maximum compatibility, we have adapted the import & export of CSV files to the current international standard:
When exporting from Xentral, it is now mandatory to select a masking character. The apostrophe is used by default.
During the export, only cell contents that meet certain criteria are masked, for example:
-
Text with spaces
-
Cells with line breaks
This means that from now on, not all exported cells are automatically masked. Please check whether scripts on your site need to be adapted accordingly.
If a data field already has quotation marks or apostrophes, this is duplicated by the standard CSV format. For example:
-
HTML links should be imported into a product description:
<a href="https://xentral.com">xentral</a> must be specified with two apostrophes in the future: <a href=""https://xentral.com"">xentral</a>.
It is best to use the apostrophes as masking so that the CSV editors recognize the texts correctly.
