With the Packaging Material Warehouse Management module, you can define rules for a specific quantity of positions in the delivery note on how much packaging material is automatically stocked out from the warehouse. If you want to keep an overview of the availability of your packaging material without having to include it in bills of materials, this module is a great way to ensure a stock reduction of the packaging anyway.
You can conveniently open the Packaging Material Warehouse Management module via the Smart Search.
Important
The Packaging Material Warehouse Management module is only available if you use Xentral in the Business or Pro plan.
You can find further information about the Xentral plans on our website.
In the Overview tab of the Packaging Material Warehouse Management module, you can create and edit the rules for the automatic stocking out of packaging material. You can also add new rules here to define the stocking out of packaging material for further products or quantity ranges.
In this example, the top two entries in the overview specify that for a quantity of 1 to 4 ordered Organic coffee whole beans 1 kg products (product number 100001), a rubber band up to 40 cm (product number 1000037) is also stocked out. These rubber bands are used, for example, during packaging to fix the coffee packs.
Additionally, the bottom two entries specify that for a quantity of 1 to 2 ordered Organic coffee whole beans 1 kg products (product number 100001), a folding box with the dimensions 100 x 200 cm (product number 1000035) is also stocked out. Up to two packs of coffee are packed in these boxes for shipping. For a quantity of 2 or more ordered products, on the other hand, a larger folding box with the dimensions 400 x 500 cm (product number 1000034) is stocked out, as the smaller box is no longer sufficient to pack the ordered products.
By clicking on + NEW in the Packaging Material Warehouse Management module, you add new rules. A new window opens in which you enter the desired details of the rule. The same window opens when you edit an existing rule by clicking on the pencil icon.
The following table contains more detailed descriptions of the individual fields that you can fill in when creating or editing a rule.
