To process returns, you can create a default return center or a return center group if you have multiple locations to which customers can send their returns. You can select this return center in the Return module when editing returns, and the Return recipient address section is filled in automatically. When you select a Return Center in the Return recipient address section, Xentral displays only addresses that are members of a return center group.
This process is divided into several steps, which are described in more detail in the following sections.
In the first step, you create your return center as a new address in the master data.
-
Open the menu Sell > Contacts.
-
Click on + NEW in the upper right corner.
-
Enter the following address information for your return center in the Master data section:
-
The remaining fields are optional in this case. You can find more information about creating addresses in the article Addresses - all fields.
-
Click on Save.
In the next step, you create a new group for your return centers and add the addresses of your individual return centers to it. This step is only relevant if you use several return warehouses as recipients and want to set them up accordingly in Xentral. All addresses that you add within the group can then be used as the destination address for returns.
-
Use the Smart Search to open the Groups module.
-
Click on Add group in the upper right corner.
-
Carry out the following settings in the Edit view:
-
Click on Save.
-
To add members to this group, open the *Contacts module and open the address that you want to add.
-
In the Groups tab, select the group that you previously created for return centers.
-
Repeat these steps for all addresses that you want to use as a return center.
Once you have created your addresses and set up the group, you can add this group in the Return module and set up your default address.
-
Open the menu Stock > Returns.
-
Open the Settings tab.
-
Fill in the following fields:
-
Group for return recipient addresses: Enter the group that you previously created here and click on Save. If you do not add an address in the Default return recipient field, Xentral uses the address that you set up as the default address in the basic settings.
Note
If you only want to use one address as a return center, you do not need to enter anything in the Group for return recipient addresses field.
-
Default return recipient: Enter the address that you want to use as the default address and click on Save.
