In Xentral, you have the option to output amounts in receipts in the currency of the destination addresses. To do so, you can create an exchange rate for the respective currency, which is then available for selection.
The Currency conversion module allows you to retrieve and update the current exchange rates of each currency to the Euro from the European Central Bank (ECB). This enables you to always save the current exchange rate to the Euro in your receipts for foreign currencies and include it in the financial accounting export.
Use the Smart Search to open the currency conversion module with the search term Currency conversion. Here you can create relevant exchange rates, retrieve the daily rates for the created currencies, and load all rate data from the European Central Bank (ECB).
In the Overview tab, all rates that are regularly retrieved and entered by the ECB are displayed.
Note
A prerequisite for using the Currency conversion module is that you have activated the Waehrung ECB Kurse process starter.
In the Menu column, you can edit entries by clicking on the pencil icon and delete entries by clicking on the X icon if necessary.
To retrieve the current exchange rates from the ECB, two options are available:
-
Get only created courses from the ECB: Only the rates of currencies that have already been created are retrieved from the ECB server. For example, if you only want to retrieve the US Dollar (USD) currency, you can create this currency manually and update this entry.
-
Get all exchange rates from the ECB: The rates of all available currencies are retrieved from the ECB server. You receive a complete list as a result.
To regularly retrieve new currency conversions or the corresponding rates from the ECB server, at least one entry for a currency must exist. By clicking on Get all exchange rates from the ECB, you can retrieve all exchange rates from the ECB once.
Alternatively, you can create an entry manually and have it updated.
