The MCP Server (Model Context Protocol) opens Xentral to modern AI applications. AI agents receive standardized and secure access to selected data and functions in your ERP system.
This allows you to connect tools such as Claude Code or Claude Desktop to Xentral and build AI-powered workflows directly on your business data.
Important
As of 06/2026: The MCP Server is currently in beta. Features, available endpoints, and supported use cases may change as development continues.
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard for connecting AI systems to external applications and data sources.
Instead of exchanging information manually between different tools, AI agents communicate directly with Xentral and incorporate relevant information into their responses, analyses, or automations.
Depending on the permissions granted, AI agents can, for example:
-
Retrieve customer and item data
-
Research and analyze orders
-
Evaluate stock levels
-
Support ERP processes
-
Create reports and evaluations
-
Support developers with integrations and automations
The available functions depend on the resources and permissions released for the MCP Server.
The following applications are supported in the current beta version:
-
Claude Code
-
Claude Desktop
Support for additional MCP-compatible applications (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf) is planned for future versions.
To use the MCP Server, you need:
-
An active Xentral account
-
A configured MCP Server
-
An MCP-compatible AI application
-
The required access permissions
You can find the connection details and configuration parameters in the MCP Server settings.
Access is authenticated and based on the permissions defined in Xentral. AI agents are granted access exclusively to the data and functions that have been released for the respective connection.
This means you retain full control at all times over which information can be used by external AI applications.
Note
The MCP Server is currently in beta. We recommend evaluating new use cases in a test environment first. Your feedback helps us continue to expand the integration and better support future AI workflows in Xentral.
