Quick overview: Significant changes in the new Xentral version
The new Xentral version delivers a lot of new technical upgrades in the background as well as a few visual changes that differ from the classic design.
This overview gives you a quick insight into the significant changes made to the software, so you and your team can prepare and benefit from the new features as much as possible.
The following overview contains essential information to prepare and educate your team on the upcoming changes.

These changes are immediately apparent and may need some getting used to at first.

Color: The new design is brighter which leads to a more inviting user interface.

Borders: The navigation bar and the header have been improved to improve user experience.

Menu: The wording of menu items has been improved and the amount of items has been reduced to enhance conciseness.

The starting and login page are now presented in a new and brighter layout

The navigation is now more concise and the most commonly used modules are easier to find.

Menu items that are not in the navigation bar by default can be added to your personal menu or be found via Smart Search.

Smart Search: Modules and settings are easier now easier to find by using extended search options and filters.

Revised settings menu: All settings for modules are now neatly summarized in one place for admins. The specific settings for the modules have not changed.

Settings for individual users: Users can change their individual settings by clicking on the initials on the top right. Here they can change the language of their system, their individual navigation bar, and their email.

User rights: Rights management has not changed. Certain modules are still only visible to users if they have the required rights.

User rights and account settings have not changed:
Users can still use all the modules they have the rights for. These rights can be adjusted by the admin. If a certain menu item is missing you had access to before, you can still find it via Smart Search. You can also add it to your individual navigation bar in your individual settings.

Established logic: The logic of operating procedures, e.g., the logistics process, have not been changed. Additional features such as the new Stock movement types integrate seamlessly into existing modules. A new picking process will be available at the end of 2024 as an additional module.

New modules: New modules like the new reporting modules and the "Mobile inventory app" can only be used in this new version. The old inventory app will be replaced by the new inventory app in the long run.

New shop interfaces: New shop interfaces with more functionality that are based on our new Connect technology are now available, e.g., Shopify. A migration from an old shop interface is only needed, e.g., if you use Shopare 5 and need to change to Shopware 6.

Be aware that the availability of of new modules depend on your current Xentral version and plan.

Dialogs and tables: New dialog boxes for sending and improved functionality for tables.

Mobile functionality: Adjustments for small screens and mobile devices are being developed.

Design changes to the Smart Search: Optimized selection of the correct category and faster retrieval of documents.

Preparation for the new design: To make it easier to adjust to the new design, it is important that you are aware of the changes that are being made. These consist of new functions and adjustments to the user interface, revised settings and the improved Smart Search.
