The Business Operations app makes it easy to connect your Shopify shop to Xentral and is continuously updated. The app is only used to connect Shopify to Xentral . All further settings, like configuration of the shop interface and stock synchronization, need to be done in Xentral . The app is compatible with Xentral versions 23.0.39 and higher.
Note
If you are on a Xentral version lower than 23.0.39 and don't want to update, you can't use the Business Operations app, but have to use the custom app instead. You can also use the custom app with Xentral versions 23.0.39 and higher. Note, however, that our support team can't help you with problems regarding the custom app and that it will not be updated. You can find out about the custom app and how to set it up here.
If you previously set up a connection between Shopify and Xentral , you can still use your existing interface. However, before you can connect the Business Operations app, you need to clear your existing credentials. If you are new to Shopify, you can skip this step and continue with Install Business Operations app.
To clear your existing credentials:

In Xentral , go to Online shops > Shopify > Details tab > Interface subtab.

Delete the entries from the following fields:

Shopify URL

Shopify API key
-
Shopify password
-
Shopify token
-
Shared Secret für Webhooks (Shared secret for webhooks)

Click Save.

Log in to your Shopify account.

Go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.

Click Uninstall next to the custom app and/ or the Business Booster app (non-functioning precursor of the Business Operations app) and confirm your deletion request.
To add the Xentral Business Operations app to Shopify:

Log in to the Shopify App Store.

Search the App Store for Xentral Business Operations or click this link.

Click Add app.

There might be a note informing you that the app is currently not supported. You can ignore this message.

Confirm that you have a Xentral installation in place and enter the URL of your instance. You will now be redirected to your Xentral instance.

Select your existing Shopify interface or configure a new one, if needed.

Click Next.
Your shop is now connected. The Shopify URL and Shopify token are automatically added to your Shopify interface in Xentral.
Whenever there is an update to the Business Operations app, you need to update it manually in your Shopify account. This will fix possible bugs and introduce new features.

After you install the Business Operations app, the import mode of your interface will automatically be set to Trial (for testing). Make sure to set it to Manually (with import center) or Automatic (via process starter) after testing. To find out more about the import mode of an online shop interface, refer to Online shops.
