There are multiple ways to log in to Xentral. Currently the most common way to log in is with your username and password. This method of login will be replaced over time by the method Login with email address as it is more secure and easier to use.
You can find out what login method you need to use by entering the URL of your Xentral instance in a browser of your choice:

If you see one of the following screens, you have to log in with your username as described in this section: Log in with username.

If you see the following screen, you have to log in with your email address as described in this section: Log in with email address or via Social login: Log in with social platform (Google).
To log in to Xentral:

In a browser of your choice, enter the URL of your Xentral:

For classic design: https://YourXentral.xentral.biz

For Xentral NextGen: https://YourXentral.xentral.biz/new
The login screen appears.

Type your username and password into the User and Password fields.
If you can't remember your password, click I forgot my password (Forgot your password? in classic design) and follow the instructions.

In classic design, select between English and Deutsch as user interface languages from the drop-down menu.
In Xentral NextGen, you can change the language in the account settings after login.

Click Log in.
The homepage appears.
You can change the design of your Xentral as described in this article. When you log out, you will be directed to the login screen of the design you last used.
All users of your Xentral instance can change their email address and password at any time. Further information can be found here.
Note
This method of login is only available if your instance has been migrated to use our identity provider.
When you first register your instance, you will receive an email that allows you to set up your password. Afterward, you can log in as described below:

In a browser of your choice, enter the URL of your Xentral. The login screen appears.

Enter your Email address and click Continue.

Enter your Password and click Continue.
If you notice a mistake in your email address, click Edit and correct your mistake.
If you can't remember your password, click Forgot password?. Enter your email address and then follow the instructions.
The homepage appears.
All users of your Xentral instance can change their email address and password at any time. Further information can be found here.
A quick and easy way to log into Xentral is via a social login. A social login uses information about you from a social platform to verify your identity. This process simplifies your login experience and reduces the amount of passwords you have to remember.
You can currently only use social login with Google.

To use social login, the email used to invite you to Xentral needs to be the same one that is used for the social platform. This allows you to directly log in with the account of your social platform without creating a separate login and password for Xentral.
Note
If you want to login with a password at a later date, you need to choose the Forgot password? option while logging in. To make it appear, enter your email address on the login screen and click Continue. On the next screen, click Forgot password? and follow the instructions to create a new password.
The login procedure works as follows:

In a browser of your choice, enter the URL of your Xentral. The login screen appears.

Click on the button of the social platform you want to use for login, e.g., Continue with Google.

If you are already logged into your social account on the device you are using, you will immediately be logged into Xentral. Otherwise you will be redirected to the social platform where you have to enter your credentials.
The first time you use the social login successfully, a notification appears. This notification appears only once and tells you that your Xentral account and the account of the social platform have been linked successfully.
If you get an error message, you may not have been invited to the instance yet or are not authorized to use it. Please reach out to the admin of your Xentral instance to solve the issue.
