Note
As of 01. August 2022 the old API to connect to Amazon is replaced by a new API. More information on how to connect to Amazon via the new API can be found here.
In order to be able to connect Xentral to your Amazon account, you need a developer ID. This developer ID is as follows for Xentral :
-
1993-5520-8053 for the EU
-
8266-5884-1391 for North America.
To connect your Amazon account to Xentral :
-
Go to Administration > Shop interface and click on +NEW. The Selection section is displayed.
-
Search for Amazon and click the Amazon tile. The Amazon credentials form is displayed.
-
In the information text in the Amazon credentials form you can find the Xentral developer ID. Copy the developer ID and open your Amazon seller central account. A link for the Amazon seller account login can be found in the information text as well.
-
In Amazon seller central go to Partner Network and select the Manage Your Apps option. The Manage your apps page is displayed.
-
Click Authorise new developer. The entry form for new developers is displayed.
-
Enter Xentral or any other name you want to use in the Developer's Name field and paste the developer ID you copied previously in the Developer-ID field. Click Next. Security instructions are displayed.
-
Confirm the instructions by selecting the relevant check box and click Next. A confirmation screen is displayed. Note down or copy the Seller-ID and MWS Authorisation Token displayed here. You need those information to connect Xentral with your Amazon seller account. Click Next.
-
Xentral is now added under Manage your apps in Amazon. Now return to the Amazon credentials form.
-
Enter or paste the Seller-ID and the MWS Authorisation Token in the relevant fields. Click Next.
-
In the next window displayed you can select which kind of orders you want to import from Amazon. You can either import FBM orders (fulfillment by merchant) or FBA orders (fulfillment by Amazon) only or both. Select and/or clear the relevant check boxes and click Next.
-
In the next window displayed you can define whether you are using Invoice by Amazon or not. If you are using this Amazon service, make sure to select the check box. Xentral will then know not to create invoices but to import them from Amazon. Click Next.
-
In the next window displayed you can select whether you want to create invoices and credit notes for FBA and FBM. If you are not using Invoice by Amazon, select the check box and click Next.
Your interface to Amazon is created. If you click Great, the Amazon interface settings are opened.
After setup Amazon requires you to refresh the token. For that purpose click Get Token next to the Refresh Token field in the Use SP API for next calls section.
The option Trial for testing in the Import mode drop-down is selected by default. This means the interface is not yet live. Make sure this option is selected , if you are not ready to go live yet, f.x. if you still need to set up your products, update your stocks, etc. You can select the required live import mode (Automatically (via process starter) or Manually (with import center)) once you're ready to use your Amazon interface.
You can click Check connection to check your connection to Amazon.
You can find out how to maintain your Amazon interface settings here.
