Sales > Sales order
Auto-shipping is the central way to start the shipping process in Xentral. During this process a delivery note and invoice are created for your sales order and the ordered items will be taken out of stock.
Note
You can also select the option to only create an invoice or a delivery note during auto-shipping in the shop interface under Details > Settings tab in the Order import section. You can also select this option under Master data > Contacts for a specific customer in the Details > Payment terms / taxation tab.
You can then go to Fulfillment > Dispatch center and continue the shipping process from there. If you need a picking list, you can find it under Fulfillment > Picking run. If you are using a fulfiller, all the necessary information will be sent to them.
Note
You can only use auto-shipping, when all the symbols in the order status indicator are green.
If you only want to transfer one sales order to auto-shipping, proceed as follows:
-
Go to Sales > Sales order.
-
Open a sales order or open the mini-detail of the sales order.
-
Click Auto shipping: create invoices and delivery notes (with warehouse) in the Action menu.
-
Click Ok.
You will get a message that the order has been completed.
If you want to transfer multiple sales order to auto-shipping, proceed as follows:
-
Go to Sales > Sales order > Delivery handover tab. Here you can find all sales orders that are ready for auto-shipping.
-
Select the check boxes of the sales orders you want to ship.
-
Select Auto-shipping from the drop-down list in the Bulk Batch Processing section on the bottom left. You can also select Auto-shipping (with picking label). This allows you to assign a designation to your sales order and makes it easier to find in the picking run.
-
Click Execute.
The sales orders will be sent to a queue and processed.
Note
If you can't find a sales order in the delivery handover, the order status indicator might not be updated. Click Calculate auto-shipping to update the status of the order status indicator. You can also use the process starter autoversand_berechnung to automatically update the order status indicators in pre-defined time intervals
You can fully automate the shipping process with the autoversand_plus process starter. All sales orders with a green order status indicator will be sent automatically in time intervals defined by the process starter. There will be no further checks on the sales orders, so we recommend you test this process before going live.
Important
We recommend that you use the type Time when setting up the autoversand_plus process starter. When you use the type Periodically, you need to make sure that the time period is at least 31 minutes long. If the period is shorter the process starter will not be executed. You can find out more about process starters and how to set them up here.
