Features in scope
-
The interface to Shopify allows you to automate the order import of your customer orders from your shop to Xentral . When automating the order import, Xentral will take over the products and quantities specified in the customer order as order items or map them with data from within Xentral . Furthermore the customer number, shipping method and payment method will be transferred to Xentral in the order header.
-
After shipment Xentral will report the tracking number and status (complete) of your customer order back to Shopify.
-
With this module you can transfer stock quantities to Shopify for all linked products.
-
You can export product data from Xentral to Shopify. This does not include all data.
-
When setting up the connection between Xentral and Shopify, you can transfer the product list to Xentral .
Features out of scope
-
Orders which have been split in Xentral , that is where part of the order was shipped and the other part will be shipped later, cannot be displayed in Shopify.
-
Currently you cannot use Xentral in combination with Shopify as central/single product information system because of the following reasons:
-
The export of categories/item tree is not supported.
-
The export of measurements (lenght/widht/height) is not supported.
-
Product data is exported but not synchronized. You cannot remove a product from the shop by deactivating the product synchronisation in Xentral . The stock synchronisation is not equal to a product synchronisation.
-
-
You can only export images. An import of images is not possible.
-
You cannot map different warehouse locations from Shopify respectively handle orders and stock numbers for warehouse locations selectively in Shopify.
-
You cannot connect ShopifyPOS as separate project with Xentral in order to treat sales via POS differently to online orders.
-
ShopifyPOS is not connected as cash register system to Xentral .
-
When you cancel an order, Xentral can report it back to Shopify. However, this will not generate an automatic refund in Shopify.
Typical use case
-
Shopify is the perfect option for startups. You can activate it online and in the standard version includes all the basic features required for online sales. However, Shopify does not offer a shipping process making Xentral the perfect addition.
You can use auto-shipping and the shipping center in Xentral to efficiently process customer orders. Xentral also offers you the automatic posting of stock levels and the creation of parcel labels, including the return of the reduced stock levels and tracking number to Shopify, which presents a great combination for companies in e-commerce.
