In Xentral, stock adjustment is a process in which stock quantities for products are updated or corrected in Xentrals stock management or merchandise management system. This may be necessary to reflect changes in the actual stock resulting from various events such as sales, purchases, returns or inventory. By adjusting stock in Xentral, companies can ensure that their stocks are always accurate and up-to-date. This improves stock management efficiency and accuracy.
In Xentral, you can adjust the stocks in several places:
-
Manual Stock Adjustment: You can manually change the stock of a specific product through Xentrals user interface. This is useful, if you notice that the physical stock differs from the quantity recorded in the system.
-
Stock Adjustment by Sales: When you sell products, your stocks are automatically updated according to the number of units sold - both in Xentral and in your connected shops and marketplaces.
-
Stock Adjustment by Purchasing: When you purchase new goods or products, the stock is automatically increased to reflect the newly stored units.
-
Returns: In case of returns, you can adjust the stock of returned products in Xentral to manage the repatriation to the warehouse.
-
Inventory: After inventory, you can compare the actual stocks to the expected stocks and make adjustments to correct any discrepancies.
-
Fulfiller (3PL): If you also have your products shipped by a fulfiller, you will be notified of stock changes in the warehouse there. You can import stock changes or have them automatically transmitted.
-
Stock Changes through API or Individual Interfaces: Your IT department can report and execute inventory changes with individual interfaces or other ERP systems through the Xentral API.
