Legacy module
The module described in this article has been marked as a legacy module. This means the following:
-
We don't create new features for this module or fix any bugs.
-
The module is not available anymore in Xentral instances (demo or licensed) created after 28-Sep-2022. If you as a new user have special requirements that could only be fulfilled by this module, please contact our customer support team to discuss a solution.

Individual statistics: Analyze business figures with Tableau & Co.
As a key user, you have your customers and products in mind, know the processes in-house and the competitors in the industry. Xentral aggregates the data of your entire company, from sales, revenue figures and CRM data such as Touchpoints, to order processing, warehouse and logistics. In addition accounting preparation also records payables or current costs. Incoming payments and credit notes complete the data pool and thus provide an excellent basis for analysis and for linking external tools.
Xentral already offers a lot of statistical analysis in the standard scope of delivery in our modules sales figures, turnover statistics, statistics and the management board. - all summarized under the Controlling menu item. These figures are further supplemented by a variety of ready-made reports in the module reports that can be easily used or customized to meet your own needs.
Thus, an excellent basis for further evaluations already exists. Since these often depend on the business model and the industry, there are in Xentral various options to export the basic data and then display it in the form of charts or to further process it by analyzing it in business intelligence tools (so-called BI tools). Depending on the data set and the objective, it may be necessary to modify this data before analysis (e.g. enrich, group or otherwise summarize). For this purpose, Xentral can be connected to so-called universal connectors which allow processing and distribution of data. On this topic, we are dedicated to universal connectors in another article: Task Automation without Programming.
-
Direct: CSV export, reports module with FTP, GetURL, transfer module, API calls.
-
Indirect: After processing via Zapier & Co.
Basically, the tools described here all work similarly: the submitted data are written to a (simple or complicated) data model and can even be linked together.
Good to know: Depending on the data situation and the user's experience, the transmitted data can be stored in a data model of any complexity in the form of tables. There, they can be linked to one another via unique identifiers (so-called IDs or UIDs) and thus also combined with each other. This procedure is basically similar to an MS Access database which also allows the combination of different tables and the linking in an intuitive way. It is practical that here the tables can come from different data sources and can be updated independently of each other.
Important: All tools described here are exemplary for many available services and programs. These vary according to functional scope, complexity, operating system, pricing models and are, among other things, cloud- or on-premises operated systems or the associated clients.
