With E-POST, Deutsche Post offers a service for sending letters digitally. These are printed, enveloped, franked and then delivered by normal mail. This usually requires the installation of Windows software that can be used to send the E-POST letters.
The Xentral E-POST app offers the possibility to store invoices in a defined format to a defined directory on the server. Thereby selected and transferred manually. With third-party tools these invoices can then be uploaded, e.g. via FTP, from the server to the corresponding directory on the Windows computer that is used by the E-POST software to send files.

The E-POST app is currently not available for cloud customers.
The list shows all documents waiting to be transferred and allows filtering and sorting by columns. Furthermore, the download of the document as a PDF file, e.g. for checking or for manual sending by e-mail. Via the mass processing (checkboxes in the data rows and button Transfer button below the table), any number of documents can be sent at once via E-POS.
To enable the collection of the documents by the E-POST service, they are stored in a local folder in the file system of the server. For this purpose the absolute system path in the field Folder in the tab Settings. This folder must then be made accessible to the E-POST service by the system administrator or provider.
In order to adapt the layout of the documents to the specifications of the E-POST letter, it is possible to change the font size and the spacing of the existing letter templates (from the company data). All elements from the company data are used and only the values to be changed are entered.
