To specify transport labels from different carriers, you can use also create your own XML label layouts that can be used as label templates. To learn how you can design a GS-1 transportation label and how to include special fields on the label is explained here.
Depending on the trading partner and products, there are requirements for the transport label, which you can set in the shipping module functions in xentral. If you want to ship items with best-before date or batch management in the delivery management in the delivery note items, this information must also be mapped on the transport label.
Depending on the carrier's or trading partner's specifications, you may want to as already described above define various input fields in the "Freight forwarding" module, which can be filled with additional information and print it on the transport label during the parcel label printing.
Example of parcel stamp with MHD indication
By the settings shown in the picture, you can create a GS1 transport label with the defined information. In doing so, the following query is made as part of the parcel label printing process.
You can enter the following information:
-
Number of packages → Enter the number of packages
-
Article/GTIN → Enter the article number/GTIN
-
MHD → Enter the MHD of the shipment
-
Quantity → Enter the quantity
When finished, click on Generate Label.
After that you can create and print a label according to the following example:
