The Layout templates appendix app is used to define rules which created Layout templates from the app Layout templates are automatically sent to documents.
The overview shows all created attachment rules in a live table.
The language, country and project settings have a restrictive effect: if something is selected here, the rule applies only to documents in which these values match and only then the layout template will be sent along.
Example: The first rule in the screenshot specifies that the layout template "ABC" should be attached to all order confirmations that have the document language German, are sent to a customer in Germany and belong to the project "TEST PROJECT". If you create another rule, in which no document language, country or project is defined, then this rule would be taken into account for all orders excluded by the first rule.
Via +NEW a new attachment rule can be created. Then one can define when which template should be sent along as an attachment.
-
Module: Module resp. to which document the layout template should always be attached to
-
Layout template: Layout template to be sent along (must be uploaded beforehand in the app Layout templates)
-
Language: Layout template will only be sent if document language matches this matches
-
Country: Layout template is only sent if the country in the document matches
-
Project: Layout template is only sent if the project of the document matches this
-
Active: The rule is active (valid)
The app can use several variables:
-
{employee}: outputs the currently logged in employee
-
{DATE_TODAY}: outputs the current date
-
{POSx_DESCRIPTION}: outputs the item description of the xth item. (from quote, order, purchase order, credit bill, delivery bill, invoice, or production). "x" is replaced with the item number
-
{POSx_MANUFACTURER NUMBER}: outputs the manufacturer sum of the xth item (from quote, order, purchase order, credit bill, delivery bill, invoice, or production). "x" is to be replaced with the item number
-
{LANGUAGE}: outputs the language from the associated address
All columns from the item table of the document and the item table can be used. If there are overlaps in both tables, such as number, then the position table trumps the article table, since the latter is more specific. The Notation of the variables remains as follows, e.g. {POSx_EAN}.
Example of how this could be used in the layout template:
