PARCEL.ONE is a provider of international and foreign shipping service providers. This article describes how to connect PARCEL.ONE and xentral and how to use it. For more information about PARCEL.ONE, please refer to https://parcel.one/.
General information about shipping methods and shipping labels is provided here.
PARCEL.ONE offers the following features:
-
Adding customs documentation
-
Entering specific information about the carrier and the product
-
Sandbox connection
To connect PARCEL.ONE in xentral, you need a customer number and a password. Both are prerequisites for the API access. You can get them from your business account manager at PARCEL.ONE.
You can specify various settings for the PARCEL.ONE connection in Xentral. As a first step, you need to create PARCEL.ONE as a new shipping method under Administration > Settings > Shipping methods > +NEW.

Define the desired settings in the following fields:
-
Designation → Freely choose a designation for the shipping method. This is displayed in xentral among other things in the order for selection in the drop-down menu
-
Type → Specify the type/field label. You can generally choose this as you wish, as long as it is not required for store mapping or other mappings. Ideally, you should keep the default
-
Module → Select "Parcelone" from the drop-down list
-
Project → Optionally select a project, provided that a separate Shipcloud shipping type is created for each project
-
Active → By ticking it, you activate the shipping type and make it visible and usable
-
No postage check → By ticking, no postage check will be performed in the order
-
Printer parcel stamp → Select the default printer from the drop-down menu, which prints the parcel stamps
-
Printer export → Select from the drop-down menu the default printer, which prints the export papers
-
Shipping mail → Select the behavior of the shipping mail from the drop-down menu. "Default behavior" means that a standard tracking email will be sent, "no shipping email" means that no tracking email will be sent for this shipping type, and "custom text template" means that a custom shipping confirmation text template will be used for this shipping type, regardless of the project and logistics process
-
Customer number → Enter your PARCEL.ONE customer number
-
Passwort → Enter your PARCEL.ONE password
-
Sender country → Enter the 2-digit ISO code for the sender country, e.g. DE for Germany or AT for Austria
-
Customs documents → Select the needed customs documents from the drop-down list. If you do not need any, select "not required"
-
Reference 1 → Enter additional references that you wish to add to the label. You can use the following placeholders for customized texts: {LIEFERSCHEIN}, {AUFTRAG}, {PROJEKT}, {IHREBESTELLNUMMER}, {INTERNET}
-
Reference 2 → Enter more references here that should also appear on the label. You can use the following placeholders for customized texts: {LIEFERSCHEIN}, {AUFTRAG}, {PROJEKT}, {IHREBESTELLNUMMER}, {INTERNET}
-
Carrier & Product → Select carrier and product from the drop-down list
-
Standard weight → Enter the standard weight of a package in kg
-
Apply tracking → Tick the check box to skip the extra step of scanning the tracking number from the actual parcel label; the tracking number will be automatically selected and entered in Xentral.
-
Sandbox connection → The sandbox is a test parcel label. If you tick the check box, the label will have the word "sandbox" printed on it to mark it as a test label.
After clicking Save at the bottom right for the first time, the customer number and the corresponding password will be verified. If the credentials are wrong, an error message will appear.
The error message will look like this:

If this is the case, check your customer number and password for your PARCEL.ONE account again.
If however customer number and password could be verified correctly, you will be able to see the shipping methods provided by PARCEL.ONE in the "carrier & product" field. The sample image below might show different options as with your connection.

You can select only one option from the drop-down list for this connection. If you intend to send your packages via different products and carriers, you need to create several shipping methods from the "parcelone" module.
After you have selected a product, save the settings again by clicking Save.
After you have finished the setup as described above, you can test the parcel label printing in the shipping center or in a single delivery note. To test in a single delivery note, in the Delivery Note page, select PARCEL.ONE from the Shipping Method drop-down list.

Click Save before jumping to the parcel label page.
Then go to the Parcel label tab in the delivery note and click Print parcel label to print the parcel label for products in the delivery note.
After completing the test printing, you need to cancel the package label with PARCEL.ONE in the PARCEL.ONE-business customer portal.
The delivery note offers further services, independent from the PARCEL.ONE product selected for your shipping.
Shipment destruction
If you tick the shipment destruction check box, the shipment will be destroyed instead of sent back if the recipient does not accept the package. This might help save return costs.
Return label
If you tick the return label check box, a return label will be printed in advance so that you can add it to the package prior to shipment.
Shipment insurance 255 EUR
By selecting the "shipment insurance 255 EUR", you can add an insurance to the shipment of your goods. The insurance is limited to 255 EUR for shipments with the service "higher insurance".
Single return shipment
This option can be useful if you only have returns from time to time or if a recipient of a shipment lets PARCEL.ONE take care of the return shipment without using a PARCEL.ONE return label. In these two cases, PARCEL.ONE imposes a surcharge on the single return shipment, independently of the return shipment costs agreed upon with the sender. It is important that you create return labels in correspondence with the delivery address of the customers, such as DHL for Germany, or Post AT for Austria.
Afterwards, you can scan and confirm the tracking number:
