For a connection of DHL to Xentral you need your data from your additionally created account in the DHL business customer portal. In the following section you will find all the necessary information.
In order to send parcels with DHL via the DHL business customer portal, you have to create an additional account in that portal, which in turn will be stored later in Xentral.
Note
You must create an additional account to the main account, because the access data of the main account has to be changed regularly and therefore the interface configuration has to be adjusted each time. In the user's password you may use a special character.
It is also important that you give the user all the rights shown or checked in the following screenshot:
To use DHL as a shipping method in Xentral, you must first create a new shipping method. To do this, create one under Administration > Settings > Shipping methods > Overview > +NEW > DHL.
Enter the username and password of the additionally created DHL account for the connection in the created shipping method in Xentral. The interface also requires the 14-digit billing number from the DHL business customer portal.
Note
After feedback to DHL, an email will be sent to you directly from DHL, which will include tracking number details etc.
The settings page is divided into two sections:

Once you have made all the settings as described above, you can test the shipping label printing in the dispatch center or in a single delivery note. To do this, select the Shipping Method DHL from the drop-down menu in the delivery note.
Click Save before navigating to the shipping label dialog.
Note
If you wish to send a package to a DHL Packstation with DHL, you need to enter the number of the Packstation in the field Department in the delivery note. In addition, the so-called Postnummer of the customer has to be entered in the field Name 3.
Open the Parcel label tab in the delivery note and use Print shipping label to print a shipping for the included items.
After your test print has been completed, you can cancel the shipping label in the DHL business customer portal. You can find information about this here.
The customs document CN23 can also be generated via the DHL interface, whereby the items are listed cleanly in contrast to DHL (Old).
Advantage over DHL (Old): Clear listing of all delivery note items including customs tariff numbers, weights etc.
The customs document is automatically generated when a tracking number is requested for an export shipment.
Not all products in the shipment have a stored weight. This results in deviations in the calculation of the weight.
Therefore, maintain the weight in all products under Master data > Products > Details. The number of decimal places in the parcel marker dialog and in the article master data must be identical, otherwise there will be deviations.
In addition, you must maintain this field in the shipping type:
For international shipments xentral checks the country of origin of the product in the product master data in the "Details" tab of a product. You have to enter the country of origin as a 2-digit ISO code. So not "Germany" but "DE", "AT" instead of "Austria" etc.
