The AI Copilot is an AI-based tool that helps you create reports more easily and quickly, as well as answer questions about reporting. The AI Copilot is available to you in a separate tab in the Reporting > Reports module.
The AI Copilot supports you in two central ways:

Answering questions:

Functionalities of the reporting module (e.g., no-code editor, export functions).

The data model (tables, columns, relations).

Prepared reports in Xentral.

Creating reports:

Provide your requirements – simple, precise, and compact.
-
The AI Copilot generates SQL reports for you and provides a preview.

Split complex tasks into several steps to avoid misunderstandings.

The AI Copilot automatically recognizes when a report is necessary for your request and switches to report creation mode.
Focus on your report: Every message is interpreted as context for the current report.
Automatic SQL generation: The Copilot creates a valid SQL report and executes it on your database.
Preview: You receive a preview of the first 5 rows of the result. This does not count towards your query quota.
Attention
The AI Copilot is a helper and not a substitute for manual verification. Therefore, always carefully check the generated results and the explanations provided by the Copilot.

Precision: Explicitly name relevant tables, columns, or fields.
Note
After your question has been answered or your report has been created, please reset the chat history. This is necessary during the experimental phase to avoid unintentionally limiting the AI’s responses.

Copy the error message into the chat and ask the Copilot for a solution.

If the chat history becomes long or you want to start a new topic, be sure to delete the previous history using the button at the top right.
Important
Please note the following important information:

Reset: A regular chat reset ensures precise and fast answers.

Parameters/variables: The Copilot can generally also include variables in the report (i.e., {{PARAMETER}}). During the pilot phase, however, such a report cannot be displayed in the preview because no values are defined for these variables.

In principle: The AI Copilot is your assistant – together you can efficiently create and optimize reports. You must continue to carefully check the results of your Copilot for accuracy.

Data protection: Naturally, we place the highest value on data protection and GDPR compliance. The AI Copilot was developed in such a way that your data remains secure and protected at all times. Reports are executed within Xentral; the AI never receives access to your data.
